As an Estimator at EFP European Facade Products, you are responsible for creating proposals and project calculations within LogiKal/Orgadata software. You receive requests by email from customers and create, among other things, an overview of the selected materials. Investigate and checking the specification/requirements of the facades, windows, and doors needed. Checking the measurements and process these for pricing. Taking into account the project requirements like wind loads, and any special designs.

In your role as an Estimator, you work is based on the project drawings. You may create a sample offer with multiple options that you present to the customer, such as different series for the same product at varying prices. In this way, you work closely with the customer to arrive at the correct product choice. Additionally, you provide support to customers who work with the same package and assist them in entering data and resolving issues.

You will be part of a technical team of about four colleagues, including an experienced Estimator with whom you work closely. In this role, you report to the General Manager. EFP European Facade Products primarily works with projects in the Middle East, India, Pakistan and Africa which requires you to be able to communicate in English and continually switch between different ongoing projects.

If you enjoy working extensively with estimations and customers, and you find it challenging to set priorities and develop creative solutions, then this is a job for you.<br />

Firsthand experience

You want to start on an estimation assignment that is very urgent, but you find out that the information you have received is not clear. What do you do?

In this situation, where, for example, you don't know which systems to propose or if there is a steel structure behind the facade, it's important to be creative and solution-oriented. You could, for instance, create three different concept proposals with a budget price and present these to the customer to see what they prefer. If the customer then still cannot provide any clarity, it's possible that the drawings have not been sufficiently developed or that the project is still at a (too) early stage. By actively thinking along with the customer, you can come to a suitable proposal together with the customer.

Growth

At EFP International, we mainly provide training on the job, and you mostly learn from well-versed co-workers —partly because you should discover and further expand the specific aspects of system development in practice.

Working at EFP European Facade Products

EFP European Facade Products was founded in 2004 and develops quality aluminum profile systems for the facade industry. Its customers are international window/door facade contractors that manufacture and install EFP profiles and components in order to create and install the correct end product. In addition to profiles, they also develop all other system components, gaskets/seals, accessories, fittings, and a like. EFP is in close contact with investors, project developers, architects, and contractors in order to assure providing the most suitable solutions for each market.

EFP's end product is the shell of a building, or, the exterior façade you can see. A crucial product requirement is climate control of the building, this includes heat & sound insulation, waterproofing and minimize the air ingress. Aesthetics, budget, production, and assembly efficiency are also important. They're mainly applied for the benefit of large office blocks/towers, hotels, but also for residential buildings. For all systems, test elements are in-house pre-made and tested on performance by independent national and international test-institutes.
